What is a stamping/punching?
Stamping/Punch introduction
Punching machine is a kind of cold stamping processing method. With stamping equipment and molds, it performs dynamic impact on metals and non-metals, cutting, bending, forming, stretching and other processing modes. Stamping molds need to open special molds according to workpiece requirements, and efficiently mass-produce parts.
Mandrel punching
Insert the workpiece into the mandrel to punch the hole.
The mandrel (1) is usually positioned under the punch (2), the workpiece penetrates the mandrel (3), the punch applies pressure to press it against the workpiece, and the workpiece is trimmed to complete the punching.
Sheet metal stamping
The plate to be punched (1) is placed on the lower die (2), and pressure is applied to make the upper die impact (3) downwards, and then the plate is cut, punched, bent, trimmed and other operations.
Extension/Deep draw
Drawing is a type of metal forming, which uses steel molds such as punch (1), mold (2) and binder (3), and places metal materials between the mold and the binder through punching machines or stamping equipment , Press the metal material into the mold through the punch, produce plastic deformation, and obtain the final product shape.
The metal material is placed between the mold and the pressing plate before processing, which can avoid deformation and wrinkles during molding. The friction between the material material and the mold also directly affects the product size.
The extension process turns the metal material into a curved part, which can be shaped more accurately through multiple stampings, and finally achieves the required part size.
